Christmas Tour of Homes 2008

BooMamaChristmasTour

This is the first year I have joined the Christmas Tour of Homes that Boo Mama is hosting. It looked like a lot of fun last year, so I decided to try it! So,thanks to Boo Mama for hosting and to you for dropping by! :-)

Welcome to my home!
When you first walk in, you are greeted by this snowman, who says things like, "Come on in! It's cold outside!"

And it usually IS cold outside!

Here is our dining room~
And here is our tree and stockings~
No mantle for hanging stockings, so we used the bookshelves next to the tree where I would like a fireplace to be someday! :-)

Some ornaments~
My son made this one when he was in preschool. :-)

This little lady came on a package when I was a little girl. We put her on the tree and I used to play with her every year. Now my little girl plays with her every year! :-)

On the buffet~
We have a basket for Christmas cards and a Nativity with figurines that my kids can play with and act out the Christmas story with. We are celebrating the fact that God stepped into history as a baby and lived and died so that we could know and love Him.

Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas!

An older friend of mine also has that snowman. She calls it Tommy the snowman. She is often "yelling" at Tommy to be quiet or putting him in the corner. I always get a kick out of her talking to him! Loved all your decorations. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Laura!
Thanks for stopping by! The snowman really IS called Tommy the Snowman! :-) We sometimes put him in the corner when we've had enough of his talking! :-)

Thanks for sharing your lovely home. It was nice of you to have all that snow placed in your yard to set the mood, giggle.

You have a lovely home and cute kiddos. Even the snow looks inviting and I don't normally like cold weather.

I particularly noticed the window and the plates hanging on your dining room wall. I have an almost identical window hanging on the wall over my bed. I put scrapbook paper behind the panes to give it a quilted look. I also have some red plates like those in my office. They are Johnson Brothers and I just think they are beautiful.

I enjoyed my tour of your lovely home.

How to decide? How to decide? Since there were so many tours to pick from, I thought I'd visit as many 'Kims' as I could.

Stockings on the bookshelf?....good idea!

Merry Christmas!

Kim,

By the way I read back to your Election Post and completely agreed with everything you had to say. We fellow pro-lifers have to stick together. :)

And by the way, where are you that you have such lovely snow? I'm jealous. We only got ice in Ohio. Ugh.

How cute! I especially like that you have ornaments you made as a child still on the tree. I have some I "made" (with a LOT of help) at two on my tree!

Love the decorations! I'm still trying to get to everyone's blog to see their Christmas tour before the ball drops at midnight. There is still hope. ;)

Happy New Year!!!
